Geomagnetic indices, reported fireball events and environmental data for research comparisons.
Product context
Project Star Hop's public resource collection connects its existing aeronautical, atmospheric and space-related research data. Aviation records, weather observations and geophysical event catalogs are different evidence types with different update cycles. The original publishers remain authoritative, and reference links do not imply that a proposed station or experimental sensing capability has already been built or validated.
Using these references
The Kp index summarizes geomagnetic activity over defined intervals; it is not a local measurement of every disturbance. JPL's fireball interface describes reported atmospheric impact events and includes fields whose availability varies. NASA POWER provides environmental context at a different scale. When comparing records, retain event uncertainty, observation windows and missing fields. A temporal coincidence can motivate a research question but does not establish causation, sensor accuracy or the performance of a proposed Star Hop instrument.
Evidence boundaries
These pages are for research and dataset discovery. They are not flight-planning instructions, an operational weather briefing, navigation data approval or evidence of an untested detection capability.
